1995 Chevrolet/Chevy S-10: Regular-cab; short-bed; 2-wheel drive; 2.2-L; automatic; 169,000 miles $500
See truck, drove truck, all it needs is some shocks and it runs fine. This will be the static beater... Little hard to start. Also the midwest has taken its toll on it but I will nature run its course on the rust effect. If I do get it however it will not be driven until it need to be. Once I strip the suspension parts off of mine I will tranfer over to this since it is on 4" blocks and a mono leaf. Rear axle has about 1" of travel room. Gas tank has been bent in but is fine. I figure for $500 i get a running truck that I can play with. The roll pan will need to be redone, as this can also serve as a learning tool...

$500! Id take it for that. That truck still books around $2400 low retail.

yeah but still, $500 for a running truck... the truck i'm going to look at today is a little less but doesn't run. it needs a motor put in it. the guy says he has a motor to put in it, just doesn't feel like doing the job. he claims that's why he is letting it go for so cheap. it's an 89. there's another 95 somewhere close by that's $500 but needs freeze plugs. i'm trying to get a hold of the people but they won't answer. if i were you justin, i would go for it.

It does seem like a hell of a deal for a beater. Where is the rust on it? You say it is pretty bad.

From what I can see from your pics. There is nothing to worry about there. It all looks like surface rust. Form what I can see the bed supports are fine and that’s what I would be worried about rutting though. If I was you, I would just hit them with a wire brush and some paint and you will be fine. It that was the rust you were worried about, you have nothing to worry about.

I'm under alot of trucks and they're pretty much all like that. I'd ditch the air shocks though.

the doors are rusting in and out along with the rockers, and the bad roll pan job. The gas door and 3rd brake light are well done tho.

due to some family issues I did not want to purchase the truck yet, along with that the main seal was bad, ignition needed a once over, along with the brakes, and then transmission has a seap.
