Hey i have a 1989 s-10, 4.3. Its not getting fuel to the engine. I think its prob the fuel cut off switch, does anyone know where this is located on this model truck??

Thanks

AFAIK, GM has never used a fuel cutoff switch (unlike a lot of fords - what you're probably thinking of).

If you have no fuel pressure, start with the fuel pump fuse.
Then check for power at the pump (remember it'll only have power there for about 1.5 seconds at key-on until the ECM detects distributor pulses).

If that all checks out, your pump has probably died (wow - that NEVER happens! :angry2: ).

There is also a fule pump relay that allows power on start but also allows the oil pressure to shut the pump down if you lose oil pressure. It could be this relay as well. Check for power at the pump, if it's not there, check the fuse or the relay.

ok, couple things:
1. when you turn the key to run can you hear the relay click for the pump?
2. If that happens then test the wires at the tank with a 12v light
3. If the pump runs but you have no pressure, the line could be disconnected in the tank, the fuel pump could be clogged, or there is some other blockage in the line.
