the problem with just removing the front driveshaft is this. Fluid will leak out of the transfer case. You could remove the transfer case and have your rear driveshaft lenghtened to fit.
You could just remove the springs in the front hubs. That would prevent the front hubs to LOCK therefore leaving the 4WD useless.
You sure its FULL TIME 4WD? If it is you could remove the differential and axles. My guess is that it is not full-time 4WD. Then just dont use 4WD for several years, and the hubs will freeze up and not work then.

Then just dont use 4WD for several years, and the hubs will freeze up and not work then. my front output has a fixed yoke, and i can run all day long with no driveshaft. s10's do not come with lockout hubs, and if you just remove the t-case, you wont be able to just slap another driveshaft in there, you need the 2wd trans or at least the output shaft and tail housing.

s10's dont have full time 4wd, bravada's have awd which is similar, but no blazers. what they do have however is a drivers side axle that is always connected to the front diff, always spinning the side gear. but the passenger side axle has a collar that connects or disconnects when pulled by a cable activated by vacuum.

if you are looking to free up a little mpg or something, you could remove the cv shaft and plug the hole in the diff. otherwise, you may as well just remove the entire system depending on what you want to do.

The Front driveshaft only turns full time if you have an Autotrac Transfer case,
and only if you have autotrac turned on.

if you have a '93 and the front drive shaft is turning full time, then something in you transfer case is either jammed or seized into gear

David what are you trying to do? Anytime you start thinking 2wd with a 4x4 or start thinking 4x4 with a 2wd you're getting into some major changes. I just want to clarify what it is your final goal is by doing this so I can best help you. (Just FYI I've made a 4x4 S-truck into a 2wd and I've made a 2wd S-truck into a 4x4, so I may be of use)

i am collecting parts to convert a 4x4 into a 2 wheel drive low rider

i plan on cutting the front frame off a 2 wheel drive truck at the factory seem and putting a blazer rear frame with the truck frame walla instant 2 wheel drive

i should of just went and found a 2 wheel drive it would of been alot easier but i have allready collected all the parts in good shape to do it

If you want a 2WD, buy one. If you want a 4WD, buy one. Easiest and possibly cheaper solution.

Yes, I know about I just said that making a 2wd into a 4wd and visa versa is fun...but not the way you're doing it. If you have a 4x4 now, you could save yourself a lot of time and money by simply removing the front drivetrain and converting the spindles over to 2wd bearing assemblies.
