Well I thought that I would start this off as I am sitting at home with an excruciatingly painful back.
Been reading lots of threads with the price of petrol in the US.
CAN YOU BEAT THIS.
A litre of petrol in the UK is generally £1.05
Getting the calculator out that equates to @ US $0.50 a litre
Saying that 4.5 litresin a UK Gallon...sorry there is @3.8 litres in a US gallon.
We are therefore paying $1.90 for a US gallon of fuel.
Is that correct?? I think so.
Hows about that for the biggest fuel price ever??
Can you beat that??

Are you complaining? I don't believe I've seen gas under $2.00/gallon in over two years.

I thought Europe was paying the equivalent of around $5-7 per gallon. The conversion on the price may be alittle off going to the U.S. dollar.

Here's where I rub it in...I cannot remember the last time I filled up and actually looked at the price. I don't pay much attention to which station has the best prices. I don't rush to the local gas station when the radio station is having their 98 cent/gallon fill promotion.
All I need to do is remember to turn in the receipts!

You might want to add another couple bucks to that, it has been a log time since you looked at the gas prices huh :D
Top gear is the best auto show on any channel, screw HP tv and all the other crap (they must not know to much if they try to sell the tornado). And Jeremy Clark is funny as hell, i think my favorite episodes are probably the Ariel Atom, and the one with the Z06 vette.
Tricky what area of the England you from my moms boyfriend is from Liverpool.

Here's where I rub it in on top of that. As long as I maintain a 3.2 GPA, I have daddy's gas card year round. I pay for 100% of my tuition housing and school related expenses, but gas is covered. I'm not mean though in the way of milling my heads for 12:1 compression so I have to fill with premium gas. I still sport the 87 octane cheap shit, as long as there's no methanol.

Do your conversion (because I'm tired and lazy at the moment) to factor in that a station a mile from my home is $3.99 per gallon.
And I do love you crazy brits. Keep on talking the way you do, it's a blast to read! :D
