Okay.. My truck is tossing this code out

P0452 Fuel Tank Pressure Signal circuit Input below minimum.

Any idea where to start looking??

is this the first time youve seen the code come up? if so check to make sure you put the gas cap back on the last time you filled up...jus the first thing popped into my head..

Yeah that would be P0442 for the gas cap I think. I've bought 2 gas caps one from Autozone and one from GMC. Neither have worked, each time having the light reset.

Dealer wants to charge too much for the est fee. So its either pay some one or me try to figure it out myself.

sounds like an open or a sensor malfunction.

P0442 is a code for "Small EVAP Leak Detected"

Anyway, odds are you need a fuel tank pressure sensor. Baring wiring or PCM, that's what you're gonna need.

The dealer (me) would use the scanner to monitor the signal the sensor is putting out. If I have the cap off and it reads 25 inches of vacuum, um no........

Goodwrench, I am chasing down the P0442, I replaced the vent solenoid, the purge solenoid, new OEM fuel cap. Replaced a couple vacumn line that were suspect, but no dice.
So odds are pretty good now that it could be the fuel pressure sensor?
Can a good wrencher feel around and replace this without dropping the tank?
