chunxthepenguin im not sure what you are trying to do. are you amping tweeters or trying to kill the bass to your door speakes, (are you trying to do this because you want subs to handle the bass) what you can do to kill the bass to those speakers are on the amp there should be three settings LP (low pass- which is if you only want bass going to the speakers, mainly for subs) HP (high pass which is only the high notes, mainly vocals, symbols and the higher end of the musical spectrum) then BP ( bypass which just lets every note go to the speakers IE.. Highs and lows mixed together). so if you want only the highs going to the speakers then turn the little knob to HP. hope this helps.

its just like a woofer amp install accept u have 4 channels...in ur case if ur only hooking up 2 speakers then just use 2 of the four channels unless u need more power then u can go bridged which is more complicated since usually it will switch all ur filters to each channel which is nice if u kno what ur doing...u just gotta get to it and run the wires. a tip of mine would be to keep all wires away from anything that moves period...most common mistake is running a wire next to e-brake and after a while the e-brake strips the insulation on the wire...after u get it all hooked up u have to tune it basically u just set it to hp or high pass like the guy said if its for mids...if ur running woofers u want to set the xover high enough so the woofers dont cause cancellation etc etc usually 100hz is the highest u will ever need to prevent this problem unless ur running a class a/b amp on ur woofers that rolls off at 12db/ocatve and u have it low passed really high...i can go on this for a long time so my reocmmendation would be to goto www.sounddomain.com they have tons of ppl like u with questions about systems and they have tons of helpful people all in all a good place to learn about car audio...
if your going to amp your mids and highs you should find yourself an equlizer as well, that will give you total control of what everything sounds like.
