Coming along.... Finally

Well my truck is FINALLY in the shop and all my dents are being fixed. They are having to replace a bed panel, fix dents on top of my cab (drunk night) and a few more spots have to be fixed. They are having to fix where the doors are shaved as well. Each door has a small crack in the bondo so they are fixing that. The truck is going in all primer when they get done. Its the tan looking primer.

They had hell getting my system out of the bed. They told me that I never have to worry about it going anywhere. Im posting my most recent pictures now and when I get it back from the shop, Ill take more pictures and show the update.

I finally put new door panels in it, along with new carpet. The carpet didnt come in the color that I looked at online, but it was good enough. Still looks good in my opinion.

It should be out of the shop around monday or tuesday, but I wont be home till next weekend so I'll get pictures of the entire truck then and post them on here. I kinda jumped the gun on posting this, but I was to excited to keep it all to myself. :D

Very nice! I just have one question... Why did you not shave the tailgate handle like you did everything else? It just seems odd you left that out.

Yeah everyone ask me that. With my bed cover I have to open my tailgate first and I just havent got around to fixing that. I ordered it with locks so I could just latch it with them, but it took 3 months for me to get it and they didnt have them in so I have to latch it inside the bed and as long as it took for them to send it, I didnt want to send it back.

Might be the stupid question of the day, but I never really found out how people open their doors when they shave them. ;o

there is a pooper that u buy but they cost money so ppl just shave the passenger one and open it from the inside

Well if you want to be exact... Its not just a popper. The popper is just the spring that pops the door open far enough so you wont have to grab it as soon as you hit the button. You can use either a selinoid or like what Ive got, an actuator. What Im using bolts directly onto the door latch and is wired up into a box type deal, being the brain of the whole ordeal and I have a remote control that opens the door. Ive also got a button wired to it on my frame somewhere that will also open it in case I loose the remote or accidently leave the keys in it.

I dont know why people cheap out and only shave the passenger door becuase the kits really dont cost a whole lot of money. Ive got the best on on the market and it was just a little over 200 bucks. I know that may be alot to some people, but like I said, its the best on the market. Not the cheapest.
