Awhile back I had inquired about an antifreeze leak I was having. Well it seems this leak only happens when I park a certain way. My driveway is pretty sloped and when I back into it with the front end being higher than the back I notice the puddle underneath it. It isn't everyday but when I park in the driveway like that I notice it. Would parking at that angle cause a leak and what could it be? Just cursious. Thanks

nope sorry boys more then likely its working just the way it is supposed to....when you park at a extream angle your coolant overflow is doing exactly what it is supposed to...overflow because it thinks the entire coolant level is that high

Yeah, and one aspect of what chuddly was saying, when you are parked, it stays at an extreme angle for way too long, than when you are merely driving and may or may not leak, but just a little bit....see what i'm saying?

He could also have a coolant leak on the engine manifold and the driveway angle is allowing it to run off the back of the engine block and onto the ground whereas if it is level the coolant just puddles on the intake. I would get it pressure tested to make sure its not the engine system leaking. Then if that is okay don't fill the overflow bottle up so far. Older S-10's are known for getting a crack at the mounting points on the overflow bottles where the bolts go through the plastic webbing. :)

Yeah I had it pressure tested a week or so ago. We didn't see any leaks at all. I'm thinking maybe it is overflow from the angle I'm sitting at. Just won't park like that to much I guess. Oh and I forgot to mention my antifreeze level does not go down.

Turns out after closer inspection it was my water pump going bad. Just kept dropping a lil antifreeze here and there. But after awhile it would add up. Good thing I have a warranty on my truck. Only cost me $30!!! Also got my rear shocks put on since I don't have a garage and it is colder here then it was last week!

Glad to hear it worked well for you, I had a problem similar to that, I forgot to torque a bolt on the water pump...LOL, anyways, it only leaked at extreme angles...or when ever I bottomed out going down the road.
