I have a stock bench seat in my truck and i want buckets. My question is are there any seats that bolt right in? I know any seats will work if i'm willing to make them but I don't know how to weld so something that bolts in will be best. I heard cavalier or sunfire seats bolt right in...is that true? How about stock s10 or blazer buckets, will they work in place of my bench? Thanks

If you have the 60/40 split bench, you can chop the center section off the driver's seat and make your own buckets. Lots of us have done it. If you have a solid bench, you can use whatever you can make work. I think camaro buckets work.

go with the blazer seats. If you can find them, get the 98+. They will bolt right in. I've got 97 leather blazer bucket seats and they have power. :o check them out.

I chopped my 60/40, the cover doesn't look very good along the side, but you can't see it. I had my Mom sew it up for me ha. :D

Nice leather's, 97zq8. Did the power plug right it or what'd you have to do for that?

For starters... cavalier/sunfire seats don't exactly bolt right in.. You have to modify the tracking a bit.. but it's not a big deal.

Here's a tutorial for installing sunfire/cavalier seats:

Installing Cavalier/Sunfire Seats (http://www.s10forum.com/install_cavalier_sunfire_seats)

Sorry for the competition reference JROD. ;)

Also... If your truck is a 98 and up Sonoma/Blazer/S10. All of the bucket seats are directly interchangable.. no fabricating whatsoever.

Mine had a bench. It's a 98.

I dropped 100 at a salvage yard to get the bucket seats out of a 99 blazer (that had just hit the lot.. so no weathering. :D)

They bolted right in. Took 5 minutes.

Wow, it must be nice to have anything bolt right in! I replaced my bench seat with '88 IROC Camaro buckets in my '91 S10. I had to weld brackets and cut the bottom of the cab to make 2 more posts on each seat. It was a full day's job. HAH, but it worked. BTW, they are powered and it works too.

Cool! That's a very clean first-gen you've got going there.
Please post pics of the interior!

Thanks Alot man! I will post pics as soon as I can!

Anybody have any ideas for a center console? I have about 6-7 inches in between my two seats and dont know really what to do! Probably be easier when i get pics up, so beware, i'm liable to ask again! HAH

My dad put seats out an old Isuzu pup into a Luv truck and it worked really well! Just another idea to throw out there.

I have a 88 s-10 reg cab that came with a bench. Now i have gotten ext cab tracks and 1 fits in nice but the second one needs a bracket. Now the ext cabs have a piece welded to the floor for the front track. is there anything else i could use. or am i screwed and have to chop up the floor in a ext cab
