well would of gotten farther cept. i was in an attic running a new computer and phone drop for my dad's office slipped and fell through... fell 8 foot and landed on a hard conference table (someone was there working said i bounced about a foot) then onto a chair and finally came to rest on the concerte floor. so needless to say i was moving slowly this weekend. i got my new hinges but on and i have the door lock setup done on the driver side. took many pictures and even made a few valuable mistakes to share with everyone. PS. for the life of me i can't get my spring back in my door any suggestions?

There's a spring removal tool, that slides inbetween the coils and allows you to compress it via a bolt that goes through the two "compressors". You can find it at your local auto parts store.

I've seen the tool at Autozone, O'Reilly, and Advance for years, and it was $10-$15. I decided it was time to change my bushings a few weeks ago and I couldn't find the tool anywhere. I got a tip from Sam (Thanks again, bro!) that it could be found at Harbor Freight. They had it for $4.99!

Try SPAL.com

I added power windows to my Sonoma about 6 years ago. Went to a junk yard and bought factory motor/regulator assemblies. I was able to get the switch panel for the passenger side, but had to get the driver side from the dealer. It took a few nights with my service manual to figure out the wiring. Sorry I didn't make notes, but it wasn't bad.

Then a weekend to install it all.

Door locks are easy, added these way back when I installed my alarm. Again sorry, no pictures.
