What are some general 100k miles maintenance tips?

Things that are under 100 dollars that I can get done or do myself without too much engine knowledge(I'm not stupid, but I certainly don't know everything)

GMC Sonoma 2000 2.2li 5-speed standard.

Thanks

change oil regularly, check all belts and hoses, run a little 93 octane through it every once in a while, change air filter, if its an auto have tranny serviced....

the better you take careof it the longer it will last

kind of hard to say exactly...it depends on how you maintained your ride before. check all fluids, replace plugs, flush the cooling system, rotate tires, check your suspension, filters, fuel and air. alot of this depends on whether or not it was changed before. i know some people (a girl) who never do any kind of maintenance to her car, I have to have her oil changed...oh well. give your ride a good tune up man, take a look under the hood and see whats going down....

Plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Inspect belts and hoses. Tranny fluid change. Rear end gear oil change. Coolant system flush and refill. Inspect F/R brakes and steering components.

Of all the 6 S10's I've owned in my life, I have only flushed the tranny fluid in one of them, and after I did, it wasn't as good as before, which is why I never do it now. I would also start using synthetic oil, in anything with 100K+ miles on it, may be a little more expensive, but worth it. As for other things, JROD pretty much summed it up. But trying to do all that on a 100 budget is gonna be tricky?

check your brakes. check for leaks anywhere; motor, tranny, steering components and lines. ummm... wheels balanced if they vibrate, EFI flush maybe, steering fluid flush, brake fluid replace
