I have used before. It works great. It's pretty much a rust killer. Pretty tuff stuff.

I would suggest you clean the area you are going to paint beforehand so the paint can adhere to the metal. rust dust and grease particles need to be taken off the best you can, or the paint won't attach itself to the metal. I have used it on my step bars on my past vehicles, and also on my streetrod, I didn't clean the frame enough on my coupe and it is starting to flake off leaving exposed metal again. Guess I got lazy, live and learn. On my trucks though it works great.

a gallon of POR-15 runs around $105. 4oz $7.00, a pint $22.00, a quart $33.00
I only bought two quarts of it along with their metal ready, self etching primer, and body filler.
I using on the area between cab and bed, over the rust on the bed sides, and if I have enough, the outside of the frame.
I just too lazy and not that much time to cut out those little patches of rust out and weld in patches (don't have tools to make some of those patches, too)
after I'm done with that it will be block sanding time then paint (finally :  )

I brush painted the frame of my truck (just from the cab back) yesterday with POR 15.I bought 1 quart of black semi-closs and used just over half. It looks really good. I preped it with marine clean and metal ready. This was a big job. A side from taking the bed off and all the components attached to the frame using a putty knife and Eastwoods under coating remover and scrubbing with steel wool it took 20-25 hours to get to bare metal. After all that, what ever I put on there better work.Time and effort far excedes the cost. I will try to keep you posted in the future to see how well thus stuff works.

i restored a '64 corvette and used por 15 on it and its the best paint ever. it only takes a quart to paint everything you need. it drys baby ass smooth. just dont get any on your hand it will take three week to get off. i would highly suggest this paint to anyone. it paints over anything cept dirt and dust.

I would paint over it with the color of your choice with regular auto paint cause it's not UV protected. That means the the ultra violet rays from the sun will cause por-15's finish to yellow over time. Use por-15 only as a base coat (the coat you don't see).
