Can I get a few opinoins on what headers everyone uses and likes for the v-8 swaps. Also is there any clearance problems with spark plugs on vortec heads?

Exhaust tuning is beyond the scope of this site. Summary: short and fat = high rpm horsepower; long and skinny = low speed torque. Shorty headers fit easier (usually). Shorty headers have better ground clearance.

The collector length will make a big difference on the tork output of the motor. To long or to short and you can lose up about 25 fpt. And the length will very per motor , every one is different. You can TUNE a collector to a motor and its quite easy but offten over looked. To TUNE it simpley paint or if new, watch how much of the paint burns off and this point will be the right size for the collector , for that motor. The pain in the butt part is cutting and rewelding it. Keep in mind thoue, the burn off depends on your driveing style. If you always shift at , say 4000 rpm the burn off will be longer than at 3000 rpm.
