View Full Version : Painting rollpan
Now that I lowered my truck the chrome rear bumper looks a little odd to me so I was thinking of getting a rollpan to clean it up a little. Anyone have any idea how much it would cost to have a rollpan painted my stock onyx black color?
Thanks
It will be around $100, but you can buy aerosol spray from a paint dealer and do it yourself easily. Just make sure the metal is straight. If not, make sure it's clean and oil free, then take any primer off if the dented area and spread some filler. Let it harden for a few minutes and smooth it out. Just scuff sand the entire pan in and out with 400 grit and prime any filled areas. Sand the primer smooth with 400. spray the color a few times and then add a few coats of clear. You may want to wet sand with 1500 grit or so and buff it to a glass finish once it's dried overnight. You'll probably need to wet sand it anyway to get any dust out. Don't wax for a while.
