4cyl fuel gauge

I know I know I know 90 of 100 dont work lol but i am swappin out the old plastic fuel tank in my 01 zq8 for a 15 gal fuel cell (abs plastic) I will be using an in-line fuel pump. now I know theres a way to make my stock fuel gauge work right with a cell someone tell me how please lol

The fuel level sender is nothing more than a variable resistor. Hook an ohm meter to the fuel level sender and measure the resistance at full and empty positions. Buy a universal sender with the same resistance range that fits your new tank. That's all there is to it.
