s-10 vs colbalt

raced a friends stock colbalt ls with out the super charger with my s10 zr2 only thing done is k&n airfilter, and stayed about even up to 50mph, but when just crusing, and we both punched it I would get him each time with the lower end power of the 4.3. When ever I race someone in a small car or rice rocket, and if they win, I ask them if they would like to put 2000lbs in the back of our vehicles then race, to which they say no, or it probally wouldn't move lol.

Sounds like excuses to me.
If you win that is good, If you lose that is good. If you are not happy with the outcome of a race then do something about it, but please do not make silly excuses.

I have yet to be impressed by any n/a Cobalt.........even the n/a SS is a joke in my eyes......what gear ratio does your zr2 have anyways?

I'm not sure what it is, but I think its the lower gear ratio. If I give it full trottle it shifts at 30mph and at 70 (automatic). Is there a way to find out?

Look in your glove box codes its probably a 3.73. I think GT4 is 3.73 and GT5 is 4.10. You probably have one of those two ratios.

That would be my guess......I've never been in a AT S10 before, so i couldn't tell you by the mph.....lol
