Surging

Steady in 5th gear at 45-50mph it surges, not REAL bad, but noticable. What could cause that? My (seamingly rare) 2.5L just doesn't have the "pep" it once used to. Would I be better on getting an engine rebuild kit or trying to find a 4.3L v6? But yea, back to the original point, the surging...

if it does it when your going a steady pace but goes away when you start to speed up or slow down,thats just all the wear in the the drivetrain sloping back and forth, every part that moves wears only a little bit and all the parts add up.

thats a logical explanation, never thought of that....drivetrain huh? I thought it could have been fuel delivery or something like that...but it is a pretty old, well used truck. Right on...thanks!
