how do you think a v8s10 stacks up to a rx7?

any body have a rough idea how a 250HP v8 s10 would stack up to a 145 hp twin rotor 2nd gen rx7? i think the rough weight of them things are about 2600LBS, an s10 is about 3000 right? i think that the s10 would take it but im not sure... (always a competition with your buddies...lol) im asking because im not sure if high RPMs compenstae for lower HP there for making a car faster.

depends on the race,

in a stop light to stop light you'd prolly take him if you can hook.

but in a mile long highway run you would run out of steam way too soon.

Why only 250hp? That stroked 305 has so much more potential!!! :sad:

The RX7 would eventually pass you on the highway, but it seems like you'd beat him by at least a second at the strip.....the turbo II would prolly be a closer race.

rink, im just wondering what a normal almost stock v8 s10 would do, you know. :) i am now making some decent money, (insilating houses) so i will probably start putting some money into it within the next couple weeks :D ... did you find anything out about the 400 crank having a 2 piece main seal and the 305 block having a 1 piece and making that work somehow?
