View Full Version : How do I shrink image?

Sorry for asking a dumb question, I was trying to upload a pic of the noma and apparently it says that it is too large of a file, I am not that good with computers, just good enough to get myself in a little trouble... any help would be appriciated. Thanks...

navy_noma if you still have difficulties email me the picture and i'll crop it down to a good size for online viewing...

Also try saving your picture as a .JPeg file name instead of the bigger .bmp type files. Hope this helps!

i dont know if you have photoshop...but all i did was open the image in photoshop, image-image size and then set it to 80/60 pixels

if you have an image editing program, look for a feature on it that says something like "save for web"

well lets see here Navy_Noma...

we got 2 sizes...let see which will fall under the size limits...

well the limit is 50k so the image @ 400x267 made the cut...

also here is your orignal image hosted online using up someone elses bandwidth...but not ours...

if you get irfanview ... (it's freeware)

just open it and click on .... Image .... resize/resample ...

those two clicks bring you to a place where it is really easy to alter the pic size and quality.

you can even see what pixel measurements you are going to end up with.
