OK guys. I'm doing a spare tire well sub install on a Mazda for a friend at the shop. The fiberglass mold of the well has 3 layers of glass so far. My plan is to MDF the floor & cover it in black carpet to match. My question is, what do you think will be the best route for affixing the tub to the MDF?

yup...fiberglass will work well... liquid nails will work well...alot of stuff actualy...but if your glassin already just mold it in for a nice look....but if your carpeting it then i guess that seam wouldnt bother you anyway
I don't know how well it adheres to fiberglass, but I used Gorilla Glue when I made my brother's sub box for his '72 Nova out of MDF. It's some great stuff. It actually expands and fills any cracks and seals very well, kinda like a foam. It's a little expanse, but well worth it in my opinion. Check it out, may work well for you.

Liquid nails is good, but takes longer to dry than others.

Thanks guys. The ideas were along the line of what I was thinking, but figured you'd be able to close the deal for me. Appreciate the comments. Off to Home Depot I go!
