I am in need of a shifter assembly for my 91' s10 5 speed manual 4x4 tranny. It seems that chevy no longer makes this product and the junk yards don't have any either. The inner boot/seal on the shifter is split and is leaking.

The mechanic has ran out of resources also and the shifter he found did not fit.

Anyone know of a company the rebuilds them or makes parts to rebuild them?

HELP!

Wait.... Do you need a shifter for the 5speed trany, the transfer case shifter or do you need a shift boot? What do you need? I am confused.

Steve what I need is the shifter for the transmission but I need the whole shifter housing, inner boots, seals spacer block....everything.

The shifter for the transfer case is fine but the main shifter has a split in the inside seal boot and it is leaking fluid.

The problem is Chevy says they no longer make any parts for the shifter and I can't seem to find an aftermarket maker either.

I see that Hurst makes a shifter kit for it but I don't know if it will work with the 4x4 consol.

If you have the T-5 trans I don't know why it wouldn't work. It is meant to fit in the stock shift boot of the truck. I personally have that Hurst shifter on my truck and I would recommend it highly. It really takes the huge pulls and throws and slop away from shifting. Once you get it you wonder how you ever shifted with out it.
