I am driving home today and I decide to take the back way just because the roads are not monitored and you can get up to almost full speed.
So I get to the road and I am about to turn left, I look at the road and I hear this awesome sound that made me almost jump. I see a 06 Vette Z06 pull up to the light and this thing was mean. That Rust Orange Metallic... Quad Exit exhaust
Then I hear the turbo spools coming from behind me. A 92+ Supra rolls up. Darkest black you can imagine. Has a bone chilling sound. Blacked out Tail's, a gorgeous looking car.
So he passes me and goes over next to the vette. (This had to have been set up.)
I am just sitting in my lowly 4-Banger Screaming for a camera. These guys take off and I go behind them to follow and I am left so far behind I almost shit myself laughing. Watching this race makes me want a V8 so bad.
I know this is hard to believe but It is true... I have the goosebumps on my arm still to prove it.

A 5.7L is sounding real nice about now isn't it? Lol.

And then started choking on their dust once the light turned green.
I'll save PM space, that pic you sent me I can't even make out what it is even on a 32" screen. I hooked up the TV out on my graphics card to the TV in my room and it's still really unclear. If I find some time tomorrow I'll draw up a picture of what I think you're envisioning otherwise just shoot me a pick not drawn in driving class. lol

I call BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL! just joking. I would love to see that at a track. It would be hard for me to stay and watch cause I hate street racing with a passion. To many thing could happen partaking in that to even justify doing that. Why can't everyone just do it the legal and safe way.

Street racing is my drug of choice. I've been to the legal 1/4 mile strip twice and enjoyed letting my truck rip down the track but it's so straight! For me I like a good 5-10 mile course in the back country with 3 or 4 relatively matched vehicles and just tear around corners. Usually a race consists of tight cornered streets and a few straight aways with plenty of road on both sides. None of us are out there to get killed, thus the reason we're in the back country where it's just corn fields and no homes. Usually around 2am there are no other vehicles on the road and I've never seen deer on the roads. The best driving is around the twists and bends following the lake's curves and on a wet day you can actually slide around corners by overpowering the tires. Doing what I love scares the shit out of some people, but then again some people love skydiving and I'm affraid of heights so...

Never played those games unfortunately. If you ever come up I'll take you around that particular course. But I do have a need for speed. Whenever I get ticked off or need to cool down for some reason I go driving. A long 30 minute drive just out to no where cools me down with a few bursts of a 100+mph.

I used to do some street racing when I had my mustang. Never lost by the way! Well 1 day I was going on vacation to Myrtle Beach and I don't remember the road I was on but anyway a whole gang of crochrockets decided to do some road racing around my vehicle and I about hit one of them in the back tire as I was going around a one of the many curves. Since that day I have never raced anything again. There is just to many things that could happen. You do it legal and if something happens there are safty crews to help you. People are gonna do what they wanna do, but if all the street racer would wise up just thing of how much safer the roads would be. Street racing to me now is just as bad as drinking and driving.( Which I have never done) I'm not gonna think of you any different but just be safe.
Side note: There was an article in the loacl paper today of a 17yr old got caught doing 142mph in a 65mph zone. That is the fastest anybody has been clocked on a public road around here. The car he was driving was a 2005 Subaru Impreza I think. Just think of what could have happened if he were to blow a tire, lost control, ect.
Ok......I'm done ranting!

I agree with you beckner on the street raceing and i try not to.... i dont go to the events around here anymore...... but when a car pulls up on me at a light or toys with me on the highway i cant help but show them my tail lights. It just feels so good but i try to keep my raceing at the track for safety purpose.

I do the exact same thing......Unfortunately I live in a nice flat space, but I'm working on organizing a highspeed convoy(06 mini s, 95 bimmer, and a 00 zx3(modded)) around our local S turns.....basically, if it is clear(you can tell at night), I've managed 125 through them in a 01 Lincoln LS.....I almost lost it at that point though, so IDK yet what speed they will choose to run at....

we all(The focus connection) determined it had to have been an STi....lol. I think 142 is the fastest that they have actually caught someone though, as i'm sure ISP is still looking for the pair of black rx7's that we clocked during an interstate pull 60-160 that they did on 465....hahahaha

When I drive my Grandpa's TrailBlazer I haul ass because it has this olive green metallic color and sissy looking graphics down the side. I have pulled up too traffic lights next to some little Civic or integra with the Coffee Can muffler, I look over and stare em down to get them to go. I make them look so stupid because who would think that this ugly of a truck would have a V8 in it. did the same to a Ram Hemi allthough he caught up. but when I am in my truck I dont even waste the gas or time. The light changes I get the shot but at about 10 mph they are pass me. I only stand a chance against other S10's, Cav's, or civics.

How the hell does some 17 year old kid afford an WRX? I race around myself, but I can't stand doing it with a lot of other cars around aka in the city. Maybe at stoplights, but not with a whole lot of folks around. I usally wait for something worth while to screw around too. Usally other types of V-8 rides or AWD stuff.

Its the WRX is the car that daddy got him...duhhhh
It is very common to see rich brats in cool fast cars than no one their age could even think about owning. As usual those brats are always doing all sorts of wreckless and stupid stuff behing the wheel endangering their lives and others. Every now and then we hear about some 15-16yr old kid that his dad got him a Corvette, the kid maxed it out and wrapped himself around a pole.
I am not hating on these rich kids, and obviously I would have loved to have a car like a WRX , Vette or a 350Z when I was 17, hell I would love to have one now at age 26, but it really bothers me to see these stupid kids with no sence of responsability, do all kinds of stuff and daddy bails them out every time.
There is also the broke version of the irrisponsible kids doing all kinds of stupidity, we call those "ricers".

Yup, Today I was at a dealership and some 17 year old was being presented the keys to a Nissan 350Z off the showroom. He will drive it wrong and die. Where I would take care of that thing as if it was my child. Like I do with my truck.

yeah, I would take great care of that car too. I love that car. I love how it looks, performs and handles. If I were to buy a car right now, it would be a Blue 350Z with the enthusiast trim package. I would take care of it like I do with my truck, only I'll drive it harder around the curves.

And "rednecks" with thier 3 colored(excluding rust) fbody, mustang, or other muscle car that looks like shit, and is prolly rigged to heck.
I believe in making my own way, although my parents have helped out when I couldn't pay the bill on a massive repair(like the trans, rear ends, and such) But I have purchased every vehicle I have owned myself, and I'm proud of that(I prolly still have my license because of that) That car was a white 2004 STi, it was sold on ebay shortly thereafter.
