What you need to start:
1) 2-3 Hours
2) 1/4 in. Metal Screws
3) Sockets and Ratchet (Impact Wrench if you got one... will make life easier)
4) Desired Roll Pan / Bumper
5) Plate Light kit unless you are relocating it to Tailgate/Rear Window/Or non GM Roll Pan
6) Other Misc. Tools and other items that you will discover for I can remember everything.

Step Bumper
*************
1) You need to remove the stock step Bumper. To this you will need to remove the Rubber panel on top of the bumper and in total the 8 bolths holding the bumper on (4 Top) (4 Bottom)

2) Once bumper is removed there will be Two Brackets extending from the frame. 4 Bolts on each brackets... Remove bolts and pull bracket off. Dont tug to hard because your plate lights have a wire support held onto the brackets, Open supports and pull wires away.

3) Now that you got your old bumper off, Get your new one out of the wraping and now its time to mock it up. Floor Jacks work well be milk crates will work also to prop it up. If you have a Bolt On Pan there are holes drilled into the back allready and your bolt on pan should match up with the holes and the spare tire lower hole. There is also 2 Bumper stops that will guide how high the pan should be placed.

4) When mocking it up make sure all your angles are rights and all the holes match up. There are 2 Brackets on the stock body to attach the pan too on the sides. Use those with some clamps to hold the pan up.

5) Now that you have the pan where you want it get your metal screw and put one in on each side of the pan on the top side. Now Step back and see if it lines up still.

6) Now that it is still lined up go ahead and go under and using the metal screws once again Screw the side brackets to the body of the truck... From the bottom up.

Plate Lights
*************

1) The stock sockets and brackets will not work with your new Pan (Duh....). So depending on what type of pan you purchased you will need the matching Sockets and Brackets. Since I went with the Extreme Pan I purchased the Light Kid according.

2) Now you have to cut off the old sockets after removing the bulps. Cut the lines high enough that if need to ever put old bumper back on you can.

3) Now strip you wires enough to where you can either twist or soder the them together.

4) Now that your wires are connected go ahead on turn the truck on and make sure they work. Now that you now they work Soder or twist them up. Its up to you to use Tape or Wire Shrinks (Wire Shrinks are prefered.), and finish the connections

5) Now put your sockets through and put lights in. In my kit C-Clips were used to secure the lights.

6) Make sure wires are all secure and that they are no where near your exhaust or not being pinched.

Now you are riding with a better looking rear end and you are legal.
