can anyone tell me how to get off the shift knob

Pull the boot down and loosen the nut under the handle which locks it. Knob alone is not changable, only the whole shifter handle is removal or swapable!

so where would i get a replacement shifter.
i bought a shift knob damnit and i plan to use it

well if you are not concerned for the saftey of the factory knob, hacksaw it off! i did that to my 5 speed shifter and it had a real heavy knurl on it and the handle i put on had three 1/4" 20 set screws holding it on and it never came loose ever.

Try the opposite of how you got on...:confused::o:D

i took the shifter out....and you can like stick just the shifter knob in a vise and pry it out and put your new knob on

I just make my own sticks and use whatever knobs I like or make also!!
