well to get them calibrated you need to go to a dealership and theyll send them in to a factroy and ge them back in shape. but that costs around 500 bucks! or you can keep the truck running and keep the plastic off and the rpm should be around 1. the speedo at 0. the volts around 15, 16, the oil around 40, and fill up your gas tank so you can put it all the full line. thats what mine was and it works the speed is off a little bit. but your truck maybe different.

yup...just do what rocky said...its the easyest and fastest....guages arnt exact from the factory anyway so a hair off one way or the other is no biggie

I pulled mine out to replace the bulbs...stupid thing is complicated, I put it back in and everything was completely wacked out of its gord. I unhooked the negative terminal of my battery put it back on, made sure it was seated properly and snug, put everything back together (dash) then hooked the battery back up. Everything was as right as rain. Good luck, I hope it helps you or someone! :)

I remember with mine that the speedo is a little lower than the peg, so it sits on the peg. At least that is how it is on my 98. But then again i got mad at the 6k tach so i put the 7k 4cyl plate on with its motor. I had an aftermarket tach hooked up and it went to 7200. that is how i gained that unpleasant needle experience.

It would have to be hooked up and full of gas to start them in the right positions cuz when it's off there is not a correct reading on any guage.
