it won't help you, and it can't be true dual exhaust. you can get a single-in/dual-out muffler to make it look like duals.

Hey man, you could do something really crazy and run quads!!! If you are any good at metal - fabs, cut and weld four e pipes and run em outta 2 dual in single outs!

i have the single-in/dual-out Flowmaster. it sounds and looks good, but it didn't help power or mileage. The Flowmaster muffler cost around $90. I paid $250 for the whole exhaust system from a custom exhaust shop.

Yes, you can run true duals on a 2.2. You'll have to make a new manifold, or maybe a set of headers.

yeah i suppose you could combine 2 of the 4 cylinders then get "duals" or you could run 4 individual equal length pipes, interesting idea.

yeah ive got the gibson cat back kit for my 97 2.2 spd, single in dual out, easy to install has dual 3in chrome tips helped my performance some, but i also replaced everthing from the maniflod back at the time since my head pipe and cat died, however it is about 375 or so, but i got it straght from gibson for 125, overstock or something, cheaper that stock, is why i got it, it my sorta daily driver work truck, dont get to put too much extra money in it, have too many other cars

duals on a fourbanger? i got a 4 as well, but i wouldnt go dual exhaust unless i could back it up under the hood. i went flowmaster and relocated the tail pipe to come out the side of the truck in front of the rear passenger tire, and put a nice good sized chrome tip on the end. it sounds great and looks even better. all for a 100 bucks.

get a large coffee can , get it chromed , an clamp it on the end of your exhuast,
i bet it will sound real thumpy , not ricey
