When did they come out with that concept Xtreme? I remember seeing it at a Super Chevy show back in the mid 90's. I have pictures of it kicking around...it was a copper color, if you're talking about the same truck.

wow your fast thanks, it says here : The beauty of this package is that the extreme hormones needed to transform any stock S-10 2-wheel-drive pickup into the nasty X-treme Force version you see here are available at any Chevrolet dealer parts counter.
Ok what are the part numbers id love to have a v6 4.5 with that much power

Erm, you mean 4.3 v6, not 4.5, I think. :)

no he means a GM Motorsports 4.5L V6 with 450hp...for the dedicated v6 owner. i'm sure GM PP has the parts...I've seen the 4.5L components, but it would appear you would have to build this one from scratch no crate engine... :-(

nope..pretty sure the article say 4.5. :)

that looks clean as hell with those fat rear tires...

What I want to know is how they got 450 hp out of it. It appears to be naturally aspirated too. It's hard enough to get that much power out of a s/c'ed 4.3L now days.

Damn those are some impressive trucks. I would sell my left nut for that Xtreme Force or that DaKota Sidewinder.

its a plethora of go fast goodies...and this thing was made prior to 2000. might be possible to be a better faster, more powerful v6 today...

Where did you find all of that info? That is a whole lot of stuff. I see why it is making so much power: very high compression, really high lift cam, and large valves. Still very impressive.

I think it might be a little difficult to make that much power with the new Vortech 4.3L. Pretty sure the 2 bolt mains won't hold, but if you used that block and like you said with the new products out now, that would be a sight to see.

Here's another pretty sweet S-10.......ZZ4.3 Xtreme (http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/stories/gmtoys/toys1.html) Too bad it was only a concept. :(

That ruck would suck on the street, unless you were doing the big-bucks street racing. Then you'd make a lot of money.

HUH, i think i may get a new clutch and make a dyno appt in indianapolis. Anyone know where i can get 6speed manual for dirt cheap??? Like under $500.... Then maybe I will have something close to that awesome truck. BTW, why did they need to use the brakes on the zz4.3L?? I mean all i ever did was pop the clutch at about 3k, and as long as you keep the foot on the gas it'll keep turning them. At least on street tires. Awesome trucks though.
Andrew

P.S. Anyone know the closest dyno to evansville,IN...I mean in like Louisville or St Louis...Thanks
