help...wiper cowl

im taking my wiper cowl off to paint it cause i dont want to buy the smooth one yet. there are little plastic screws in it, and they dont seem to want to thread out...help???

There not screws, they are just pull out tabs that look like screws to screw tih people! Just grab the center sectio with needle nose pliers and pull them up and out!
I think they made them on April First!
