Like it says im thinking about goen for it ! Ive been wanting a twin setup for a long time . Id have to sell the duel fours and maybe the headers or just keep the headers for another one. I know a blowthroue carb for the turbos is cheeper than a injection system, still thinking on that. I can get the turbos really cheep .I can use the industral type for something like 89.99 apice. I have see this type used on a 8.75 sec street driven camaro with a bbc . I know now that i can make the headers for it ( i learned alot making my first set ). I think i can keep it all under the hood , it will be close . I set the cab and doghouse back on to look and mesure everything and it will work without hacking anything up under the hood. never did anything with a turbo befor so im not all shure what all id need . anyone out there messed with a turbo befor ?

Yup. I had a 511 stroker ZL1 in a '64 Chevy II with twin turbos, Wiend cross ram 2x4 roadrace manifold, Accel flow valves, and 660 double pumpers. 1,100+hp. It was fun.

BadToad454 good to see you again. I know you venture onto the site every now and then but you're pretty quiet about it. I just wanted to say that it was your truck and your pictures that convinced my friend that a 454 does fit in an S10 and he ended up stroking a Suburban 454 into a 496 and threw it in his 88 S-15. I haven't heard from him for a few months but before school started he had the motor running in his truck. So know that your few pictures was all my friend needed to throw a big block in his truck after I gave him the links. He lives a few hours north of me and races his trucks at the BIR speedway in Brainard MN.
But anywho, I like the twin turbo idea. You're going to intercool both of them right?

Well right now i have no idea if theres even enuf room to intercool them. Im gona buy a book on turbocharging , see what it takes and go from there. What i do know is thet ill half to change the pistons and the heads. ive got 11.1 pistons in there now .I cuold make them work with low boost but i think flat tops at 9.5 will work much better and live longer. The headers are welded up and im grinding the welds down now but in 5* weather it sucks so its slow goen, ill post pics when done.

What about an intercooler in the air dam like rob's doing? Or possibly a rear mount radiator?

I looked into a twin turbo on my 73 vette big block years ago. 7to1 comp and 12 lbs boost gets you about 1500 hp. without the intercooler. Its all about heat though so i didn't go for it at the time.

The turbos and 454 will fit under the hood, and you could fit a large by huge intercooler inplace of the radiator which you would relocate to the bed. Tranny tunnel hacking would be required but thats about par for any v-8 mod. Not really my idea; heres the article I got it from and any s-10 enthusiast would drool over this truck (http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/techarticles/83863_chevrolet_stealth_s15_drag_racer/index.html) .

Well i got the book and read it all the first day but it really didnt tell me anything i didnt know. The math will blow your mind thoue ! It mainly tells you how to find the right turbo for any motor bace'ed on all kinds of crap. Ive thought about it a lot but im not going to do it cause i want to drive this thing this summer, really bad. I dont want to tear the motor down and start over. But i will build one when i get this done . Ive just got to , theres nothing more wicked than a big block s10 , then add tourbos, hell yea. time will tell.

I am glad to hear that. Don't get me wrong a twin turbo 454 would be crazy, but I just have a soft spot in my heart for an old school high rise duel carb set up. I can't wait to see some pics and possibly videos of that that monster on the road.
