Just got home this morning and thought I would take some pics since I havent added anything here yet. I will eventually be putting up some before and after pics of the paint work. (my very first attempt) I bought the truck last fall, but it was the factory GM pink color. I didnt drive it anywhere but home and started painting...lol. A 94 with 45k miles on it. 4x4, 4.3...the usual stuff. Like I said before...lots of plans, but little money.

Welcome to the site. There seems to be a large number of you Ohio guys lately; glad to have you. Nice Sonoma. What are those plans, money aside?

Money aside, I would love to lift it a bit. Nothing too outrageous, but I want to put the same BF AT KO's on it that I had on my 94 Blazer. (I will still put those on, but would look good with a lift and a little larger tire). While I had the bed off painting, I did put a 40 series Flowmaster exhaust (cat back) on it. I need to get a reese style hitch (cant pull my camper yet), tint windows, new stereo system with speaker upgrade, cold air intake, headers (if I can find them), new/different wheels.
I did put a herculiner bed liner in it when I painted too...thinking about doing the same to everything below the side trim and the "fender flares". The carpet inside is light grey and stained up pretty bad, so I have entertained the idea of pulling it all out and herculining it too. The inside of my trucks seem to get pretty dirty since I use them for hunting, etc... I dont know. I figure if I dont like it or time to resell, I can always put some new carpet in. I guess nothing major, but it all adds up when you are a full-time returning college student and work part-time. Been trying to sell my house since last March, but no such luck.

Herculiner is the gift from above for hunters. I too have it in my bed and now it's on my frame rails. I was entertaining the idea of doing my rocker panels and up around the wheel wells and still might, but my bed needs another coat first. 1 gallon gets everything coated, but it's not quite as thick as other spray in bed liners can be. 1 more gallon will be perfect.
What besides Tom's do you hunt? I hunt duck, goose, pheasant, grouse, deer, bear and the occasional annoying squirrel bugging me in my deer stand. I also fish and ice fish like no body's business.
If you want easy lift, you can't beat $130 bucks for 2" from a body lift. Cranking the T-bars is cheap, but then you need an alignment afterwards and your ride is stiffer.
What size BFG's? Those are the only tires that will ever touch my truck. They're just perfect tires for the daily driven hunting truck.

If it has a season in Ohio, I hunt it. I am going to school for forestry and wildlife management and I am also a Hunter Ed Instructor for the Div of Wildlife. Never hunted bear, but would like to. I was told I have access to a ranch in New Mexico whenever I want. (getting there from Ohio is another story) They have a lot of pronghorn, mountain lion, bear, elk and quail...so I am excited about that.
I looked at body lift while I was painting, but couldnt find one specifically for 94 EXT cab. Not sure if something else will work...suppose I could make it work since its just blocks. Was thinking about torquing the t-bars, since I will need alignment when I get the new tires anyways (needs it now actually)
On my Blazer, I ran just the stock size (235/75-15). May do that on the noma also, but may go a little bigger if I can.

Mountain lion would be pretty cool. I've got to find a place to go Moose hunting so I can die happy.
Well, we both have extended cabs and my body lift kit came with everything. Look on eBaymotors for the kit. 94-2003 extended cabs are all the same body wise and provide the random parts that ARE different between the old and new models (Like your 94 transmission cable if you went with a 3" body lift).
As far as tires, 30x9.5R15 BFG's will do ya well. 31x10.5R15 will start giving you trouble in the front unless you go with rims with less backspacing. I have 31's in the rear and 30's up front with no problems until a little at 100% full lock. No rubbing in the rear, even with 2WD.
