well any way i got some older but still nice infinety kappas they got a green cone
well any way my deck bit the dust an i had to resort to the old delco for tunes
my speakers sound like crap with the bass turned up 3/4s of the way
could a delco burn up my kappas ?
been useing the old delco for 4 months now just started to notice this about a week or 2 ago

Kappas are meant for 10rms minimum to 40 - 100rms based on the models. If they are getting less than 10rms from the Delco you are underpowering them, and yes it will destroy them. Ideally the kappas are meant to be run on an amp at the recommended RMS because they are after all not "cheap" speakers and sound a lot better with the proper power to them too.

welp i guess it is umm could this happen just cuss of manufactors error or truck rattle or getting hot ?
my bass blocker to the woofer part of the 4x6s plates the solder like disconnected an there is this lil stupple where u can tell the connection was made
i took the door skin of an looked at the cone a surround still looked fresh an didnt have any tears or sign of wear
still had the new speaker smell

I can't really help with the next question as I am not that knowledgable on that area, but if you are going to run Kappas on a stock deck without an amp keep the volume down. The best thing to do is get a new head unit and and an amp to power the Kappas they will not distort and sound cleaner, plus not be underpowered and last longer.

its wierd almost the more amps you feed something (not above like 100 watts above the rms on a sub like 20 rms on speakers) they seem to do better. i have infinity kappa 6.1 perfect and the rms is 100 and im feeding them around 120 its amazing.
