I dig the color. Reminds me of the Crossfire.

Reminds me of the BMW z4... meh.
How can they put the "Demon" badge on that car? I hate how car companies "bring back" car names and give them to vehicles with no resemblance of the originals. Most are not even the same size car or drivetrain (FWD instead of RWD).

Now look at the Copperhead from several years ago

They've tried the same basic idea before, while I agree the demon looks better, it probably will not fly, especially with the demon name.
Only thing good dodge ever tried to bring back was the Challenger, the charger may be fast, but is an insult to the charger name in my opinion.
look at me, bashing chrylser cars...i work at a dodge dealership!

both of those cars are slow

They already have the Viper... The Demon if made will be a roadster. Roadsters are traditionally 4cly, manual, 2 seater and rear wheel drive cars. They are cornering cars for people to drive the twisties with. They are not designed for the guy that wants to cruise the main streets looking for some one to race. Roadsters are the closed to pure balanced driving experience your going to get. Think go cart...

see theres the problem, was the original demon a roadster? not even close! my buddy has a '72 demon with a heavily modified 340 now that deserves the demon name. this thing is a ****in joke. like said before the challenger was the only muscle car dodge actually brought back

its not too bad, especially with dodge thinking about selling the viper to a german company.... they might need to replace their fast sports car with this BMW wannabe.

The Dodge Demon was a "muscle car" (see specs below and tell me if you still think it is a muscle car) and not a roadster... OK. It was a dart a face lift nothing . But it is no where near as iconic as other cars that came down from the MOPAR guys. So i don't buy in to the whole retro thing on this one.
I am tired of people condemning a car just because it was not what they would have envisioned for the name it was given. How much does the name really matter when you are driving the car down the street? Name aside, would you like the car as it is? If so, who cares is if it is not what you would call a Demon. I personally think it is a little ugly so I could not care one way or the other. But I don't think it is unworthy of the name. It is edgy and had aditude and that sounds like a Demon to me. Who cares if it is not a Dart.
Here are the specs on the 71 Demon... NOt much of a muscel car if you ask me...
Introduced in 1971, the Dodge Demon was offered in two models. The base two door coupe was priced at $2,343 and came standard with your choice of the 198 C.I. Slant Six or the 318 C.I. V-8. Buyers looking for performance opted for the "Demon 340".
The 1971 Dodge Demon 340 engine had a bore and stroke of 4.04 x 3.31, 10.5:1 compression, 275 gross hp @ 5,000 rpm; 340 lb-ft @ 3200 rpm. Wheelbase 108, length 192.5, width 71.6, ground clearance 5.3, weight 3,353, 15.9 feet of usable trunk space.
Road Test magazine tested a Dodge Demon 340 automatic in April 1971. They found the following: 0-60: 7.8 seconds | 1/4 mile: 14.56 seconds @ 96 mph | Estimated top speed: 127 mph
You could get a Demon with a 6yl and the 340 only put down a 14.56 quarter. What a legacy....

true , but you cant with the same motor thats in the nitros or neon's that wouldnt look cool ,
your idea is comeing from stuff like alpha romeo sprint , mg's and the little triumphs , they are all from the othere side of the pond ,
now this is the reason those tiny little saturns and pontiac cars never took on , with a 4 cly motor its come on paul walker ricer can
plus with that body and 4 cly mode i think it could get better than 32 mpg ,

Put the SRT4 engine in it and I am sure it will be a option and no one will be disappointed with it's power.
I personally would love to have one of those solstice coups coming out with the GXP option 2.0 TURBO engine (260hp/260tq not to shabby). I think the only reason why they are not sell is bad marketing/image and the bad economy.
