Heater core leaking still?

Three months ago I replaced my heater core, and the puddling on the passengers side stopped; massive smell of antifreeze in the air coming through the vents; as well as the window always fogging up when the blower motor was first turned on with the defrost settings on. However, as it gets cooler in British Columbia again I notice on start up a thin white film inside the windshield after I start it up (Not bad at all compared to when it was leaking, its very minimum for the most part) and as I drive it and the defrost needs to be on and this mainly happens when it is cooler out. There is no puddling or leaking on the passengers side, the heater core is new.

What else can cause this? There is one other thing I suspect when I bought the blazer it had three little cracks in the windshield. They are still there so is it possible that if the windshield is in that condition some seals around it are going and a new windshield and seals would fix this? Could a windshield in that condition cause moisture to get in and condense in the vents and cause this problem because its only when its cooler when its warmer I don't really notice.

Could there still be anti freeze in your vents? When my Heater core went the first time, I continued to get the film for moths afterwards from the anti freeze that was still in my vents. Heater cores Suck, except when they are working and it is cold out.

same here took a while for the crap to get out of my vents, after i replaced mine, i hope nothing is wrong with the new so you dont have to change it again

I have not used the climate controls much since I changed the heater core. With it getting cooler out I am just starting to use them a lot, so its probably just antifreeze in the vents having to clear out of the vents because it had been leaking awhile I think when I bought it used. Hopefully its not leaking still too *crosses fingers* but it seems fine :D.
