service engine soon? nothing to service.

i have a 92 blazer that im trying to sell, and the service engine soon light is on. when we plugged a computer into it, no codes came up. its just a service engine soon light. it was running rough before, prolly carbon in the EGR valve. help ? it needs to sell !

if you think it is the EGR take it off clean it and put it back on, about those years GM had problems with them, they replaced so many they just started cleaning them instead, had a friend with a 93 barley ran at one point, cleaned it out ran good again, easy cheap thing to try first

i agree. i also had a 94 that did that about every other week. but its not the EGR i know that for sure now, and the light is still on with no codes showing up. have you ran into this before?

Go to your local Auto Zone and get a GM code key. This is placed in the Diagnostic connector under your dash. Turn your ignition to the on position (do not start) and count the flashes of you check engine light. That should give you the correct trouble code. Some computer intefaces do not show all the trouble codes. If this is too much info, just ask the Auto Zone associate for help.
