The transfer case out of an awd Safari or Astro apparently will bolt in place of your 4x4 case.

Listen closely!!! AWD is nice to have but remember you are going to supercharge it!! Do not use any other transfer case but one out of a Cyclone or Typhoon!! They are designed for the added torque and horsepower. The others are NOT!! YOU will definitely have numerous fragments all over the road!! "Nuff said!!

 The Typhoon/Cyclone, Astro/Safari, and the Bravada use the same transfer case, the Borg Warner 4472. Good luck on trying to find a transfer case from a Sy/Ty.
As well the SyTy transfercase is not electronically controlled. Im not sure if the factory computer will have a problem when it realizes there isnt a transfercase there and/or how the VSS would hook up.
If you wanted something beefier the Lingenfelter sonoma use the AWD system from a Denali, but I'm sure that would be a lot of fab work. I believe that truck had a 1000hp twin turbo v8.

The transfer case is not the only thing that is different. The drive shafts different and the front differential are a little different to. If I were you I would just put a posi or a locker in it. And if you are really that concerned about traction and launching then tub it out and put some fatties under it.

let me know how that supercharger works when you install it. also do you what kind of power gains are expected with it installed.
