4.3 Vortec automatic to manual transmission

I have a 95 s10 4.3 Vortec with a automatic. Has anyone ever switched from auto to a manual transmission and do you know what else I would have to change out to make it work?

It will take some work but it can be done.
The easyest approach is to take the pedals, flywheel,tranny, clutch, shifter from another 4.3 5 speed. You can also take the pedals from any 4cyl S-10 and the tranny(T5) from a pre Lt1 V8 camaro or V6 camaro as long as you use a 90 degree bellhousing.
The rest is just get down to work.

Remember, you will also need the computer (unless you have deleted this). You are talking about a lot of work!! It would be cheaper in the long run to just buy a truck with one in it already.

if you go from stick to auto, you need the ECM in order for the tranny to work, but if you go from auto stick you can just unplug the tranny cables as long as you leave the Vss plugged in.
