Catalytic Converter

Hi everyone,

I have a 1993 Sonoma with the 2.5L EFI engine, standard transmission. Turns out I need a new catalytic converter, and I'm wondering whether to go with a genuine GM part or whether to get one of those universal cats. Any advice? There's a huge price difference between the two - the GM part is way more expensive. I'm wondering whether it's worth the extra $$.

FYI, removing the cat isn't an option where I live, so I have to get one either way.

Actually I'm in Ontario, Canada. We have to pollution-check our vehicles every couple of years. It's a bit of a pain.
