Plugs, and wires

I am going to change the plugs and wires on my "03" 4.3, and was curious what some of you have used ?. I was looking for some that might get me more performance, but then I thought that I might be better off using standard plugs for the gas mileage. Any suggestions ?

I'm running Taylor wires that are designed for our 4.3L. They were around $50. I think they are 8mm wires. About spark plugs, if your running stock ignition, I would just run stock platinum plugs. I'm running an MSD 6a ignition box with 104 Autolites (you want to run a colder plug with an MSD system).
