My 1994 1st gen before and after (BIG PICS)

as all of you know ive been trying to find stuff for my blazer, tips on removing the trim exc. well i got the fender flares and trim off, i also bought a new grille here are some before and after pics, i plan on getting a roll pan, and i wanna do a stream line look with the front bumper, maybe make it the same width as the body, but slowly its coming together

i still need to remove some of the residue left over from the 13yrold double sided tape from the trim i picked up some goo gone lastnight and will give it a try after work

There is not money needed. I will be glad to help you. It will just have to wait until later in the summer. Right now I do not have much time on my hands and all the free time I get I am spending on my truck. Can you post me some pics of your rust problem so I know what you are talking about?

thanks for the comments, i am gonna go with a bigger lift farther down the road i was gonna do a 6 inch lift with some 35's or maybe 38's and on top of that ill drop in a 409 that my dad has laying around the house but thats quite a ways down the road so right now im gonna do a 2" body lift and some 31" tires, teh ones i sent you in a PM rink i think thos will look good and perform good, also i want to get a set of cragars, the ones you use for winter rink if your gonna sell them let me know

im going to do the carpet on my door panels, and the tailgate i also say this black velvet i was thinking about doing the headiner in, how hard is it to do a head liner?
is it easier if i buy the stuff and give it to an interior shop to do it or what?

heres an update, i just got my bodylift, and clear signals, also my blackouts, im gonna be putting it all on sat, and in other news i got a bill from the state for $1500 from when i totalled my last car and took out about 600 ft of guardrail, im trying to get my mom to call her insurance company seein how i was on it at the time of the crash but yea, ill have my clear signals, bodylift, and black outs in by sat, its commin along just got some setbacks im still goin to indiana the truck just might not have enough done to it as pland :( stupid state lol

$1500 ouch! I bet that stung. That sucks though. Don't worry about not having everything you said you would have done actually done. Things never go as planned. As Rink, his project went from 2 weeks or something like that to over a month. My engine swap was supposed to take 1 summer and now I am on my third. And god only knows how long Beck’s project will take him. Good luck with everything you are doing. And take good notes on the body lift. I want to do the same to my Blazer, so I will be picking your brain for info.

Your Blazer looks good all blacked out. You should put the front air dam back on. It will look a lot better with it on. And if you can find one get the front air dam with the fog lights. They would look awesome on your Blazer.

wel im gona get another bumper and im gonna get a brushguard thats gonna be chrome, or maybe black i dont know yet, the cheapest one i found is available only in a chrome finish and its like 220$ with shipping, and as far as fog lights go im gonna throw 4 KC flood lights on the brush guard, and if i can find one, i want a light bar to go over the winshield with another 6 or 8 KC lights on it, i found a tailgate the only problem is its white, im gonna bondo it and make it look real nice then paint it, later on i wanna get a safari rack and put the tire on the roofbut thats a little ways down the road

UPDATE....i got my bodylift 1/2 done, i didnt realize i had to remove the ground straps and put them in a diff location....i also didnt realize that the brckets to make the strap longet were in the box till my lil bro pointed them out to me, but i got the passengerside dont, all thats left is the drivers side, and im gonna redo both ground straps using the brackets in the box, i just took it and twisted it and went from the bottom of the frame rail to the top, it was a bitch, not to mention i lost the nut for the bolt to hold it in so i had to dig around in my parents basement for one, i ran outta daylight and my girlfriend came over and shes more important to me than my truck so we went for a drive, but weather permiting ill have it all dont tommorow, ill take my truck to the car wash 2 :)

yea i saw thos kits in LMC i like the back bumper with the backup lights in it, but not for that price, thats why im gonna go with KC or maybe PIAA lights, my uncles a dealer so i can use the discount, i could have got my body lift 20$ cheaper than i paid for it

i found a tailgate in good shape from a friend who parts out blazers and jimmys, hes got a tailgate for me, said i can have what ever i want off the body, so im gettin it for free, im gonna bondo it and make it nice and smooth and with ny luck the final product will look like this, minus the bumper, im gonna throw a roll pan on it

Well those normal parts are not up for grabs because I have to see the vehicle. But it does have an e-fan, K&N cold air intake, and a couple other things.

Yes that is the tube and cone filter and it will fit the CPIs if that is the 4.3 you have and an E-fan is an electric fan that will help gas mileage and throttle response.

Yeah you do have the CPI. You would be happy with the intake and e-fan. You may have to do some fabrication to get the intake to fit because of your body lift but it should not be too hard really. The intake sells for $256.99 in jegs and the E-fan sells for $224.99. If you are interested I will sell you both for $200. And I will even help you install them. :) Here are the jegs parts numbers if you want to do some research.

i love my blazer but i was so ****ing fed up, and the fact that i cant find the screws for my grille really set me off, i threw the keys, called my girl, just talkin to her made me feel better, then we went shopping, shes got a jeep cheroke its not a bad little truck but it feels too much like a toy and it makes you feel like your doing 50 when your really doing 80 so id get into alot of trouble

lol you posted in both threads i put this in, funny...you didnt have to post again, thanks though, i think ill make a speaker box and cover it in that stuff, its really cheap, and easy to use, i saw an ebay auction for 4 ma audio subs for 200$ shipping included, i might get brave and make a wrap around box outta MDF in the back of my blazer, i might do something else tho, i saw this awsome stuff that had flming skulls in it at joann fabrics, it was gray tho, i might use that just so it doesnt creat too much of an eye sore ya know? i dont know tho, still havent decided on the subs 1st of all, and my girlfriend is really on my ass bout saving some money lol shes goin as far as to tell my not to buy har anything, witch will never happen lol

its ok, that wont be happining for a little while, i think that by aug, i will hopefully have my new headunit, and the door panels done, MAYBE my lift, i keep meaning to get a better pic of the shifter linkage but i always forget lol

small update, i still need to get to work on my front door panels, but i did wire up the halos on my headlights and took a pic tonight i mounted a switch under the drivers seat on a seprate power wire so i can turn them on when ever

thanks, yea i didnt know they made them either, that make headlights that the lenz is blacked out and the light shines threw ive been looking on ebay for another set of thos headlights but the ones i have are built totally diff then the ones on ebay now, and the seller i got them from on ebay is 2004momo he has the headlights for a ranger and probe and talon but nothing for s10 yet all i can think of is his auction ran out and it takes him a few days to put it back up, its an ebay store so you dont have to worry bout getting ripped off this is my kit when i bought it the only thing is because of the little metal besel that holds the headlights in is for the stock headlights you will need longer screws other than that they are excat match to the stock headlights sept they give you a pair of 9000K ultra bright white bulbs for the headlights and TRUST ME they make a HUGE diff anyway heres the kit i bought

the little blue bulbs go on both sides of the reg socket for the headlights, so they dont interfere with the driving part of the light

whos the big brother, mine cuz its older lol, and you can see then with the headlights on but only if you look from the right angle with the bulbs i have in there they will blind you i love them, speacially cuz i have them angled so they will go in the side mirror of the car in front of me if i place my truck behind them just right

fig id give an update on my baby, well after screwing around sence ITB for a new transmission i broke down and gave it to the shop, hes gonna replace everything, clutches, belts, all electronics, pretty much everything sept the gears themselves, for just under 2k he also said he would install another transmission cooler that i had got from a friend, and it comes with a 2yr 24,000 mile warentee, should be ready friday im praying, after shes all fixed up the person who gave me a 700r and torque converter said he would give me a new tailgate, and he said he has a brush guard kickin around and he would give me it, im gettin alot more money at this new job so im gonna save up and get the cragar soft 8s and we will see where it will go from there, i dont know im board so i fig id post an update in here

im still here, once and a while, lol im sorry bout that i try to get on when i can but alot of my time is lookin for work, im not finding any ive had interviews but nothin back, but about 2 weeks ago we had our bulk trash night and me and my brother went out to see what we could find, so anyway i found a pair of 12's in sealed box there hifonics but not in good shape and a found a couple tower speakers, i wired them into a 100 watt amp witch i wired threw a 12volt converter and its all wired in my room, and i also found a roll bar for an s10 pickup, with 2 brand new bosch offroad lights they are about 6in wide and about 3in tall they were kickin around so today i got bored and tired of runnin around to find a job and i threw them on here are some pics there not adjusted im gonna wait till dark and go adjust them

Well another small update aside from my best efforts i still cant get a job lol witch really sucks, even worse we got a few inches of snow and in the midsts of it my front wiper motor went i bought a new one and but it in took 30 mins would have taken me less but i had to run back and forth between diff sizes and that goddamn metric one bolt standard next :angry2: why cant car manufactures use ONE!!! size anyway thats all taken care of but i also got my tax return and went out and bought rims and tires i got stock cuz i still dont have it lifted :( but i picked up some soft 8's they arnt cragars tho,they are the same thing but the guy at town fair tire said these were lighter witch is good and i picked up 4 hankook dynapro MT's ive read reviews and cant find anything bad about them and cuz its TFT i get the chrome lugnuts and valves and stuff all in all cost me $655 witch is not bad at all i should have them on by friday ill take pics but for the mean time this is the tire

yea ive applied for just about everything under the sun i can do but all i get is interviews and thats it
I'm in the same boat, and it really sucks. I've been to about 12 or 13 interviews, and whenever they call my previous employer I always get turned down. I was fired from my last job because they dropped a lwb silverado bed on me, and denied me workman's comp, and now I'm taking them to court. If you could get a prison guard job that would be awesome. In nc they start out at like 26k a year, and have state insurance. I tried to, but they also turned me down. Good luck man.

yea so an update as to why there arnt any pics, friday comes around and town fair tire calls me and says that they talked to the wearhouse and they said that the wearhouse wont get them for 2 weeks so TFT said they would look for another set thats is good and wont take more out of my pocket so i said thats fine and i jumped on the PC and searched fror about 2-3 hours and i cant find one tire with as good reviews as these hankooks so i told TFT that i will wait unfortinatly i have to wait 2 weeks for the tires to reach jersey, then another few days for TFT to get them and to top things off we got like 9" of the white crap on friday, then we are gonna get more on tues and wed and even more sat, i looked at my tires they have like 1/16" of tread till they are SLICKS so im pretty much floatinup $hits creek with no padles when it snows

lol... After our last ice storm here in Columbus i completely burned up my drive tire. I had the speedo up to 90 and wasn't moving anywhere... Neighbor comes out to help until he notices the rubber all over his garage door... lol... Needless to say there was no tread left.

yea so another update its been like 3 weeks sence i ordered my rims and tires, well after them being speacial order and stuff they are finally here!!!! im going to get them put on today and ill wash my truck and take some pics, also i finally got a job yesterday i had the job before i filled out the application but im a security guard again its a diff company but the same hours with the exception of sunday i do 1st on sundays and 3rd on mon-thurs so hopefully i will get the money to do the much needed work on my truck :-D

ok well i had to wait an extra day to get my rims but i got them on and i got a few pics, but ty for the congrats altho they are short lived because apperently after i was hired i went to training at 7am and i stood there for like 2 1/2 -3 hours watching this guy explain everything, so finally i asked if it was possible to get another chair cuz i was tired of standing and the guy trainin me said ill go look for one, well about 10mins later he comes back and says "bill wants to talk to you" hes the guy who hired me so he calls bill and hands me the phone and bill says that teh guy training me said that he doesnt think id be good for this place "it was an apartment complex" and bill said go talk to some guy named barry at the hospital down the street so i go to the hospital and talk to barry and he says "i have one posistion for you its fri-tues late at night" and i said that i would prefer not to do it so he told me to go to the place that hired me and talk to bill so after drivin 20miles i go talk to bill and i asked him what was goin on with the job i was hired for and he said "i dont know i guess your too young" (thats age discrimation) and bill says he has one more posistion for me and its 20-25miles from where i live the job was from 5:30am-9am i would shuttle people from a parkinglot to the hospital, THEN come back at 3pm and work till 9pm monday thru friday,for 9.50/hr i said can i think about it? bill said "ya know what why dont you just bring me your uniform on thursday, ill give you your check you odviously dont want to work" so i left and called the labor board and asked about the age discrimation thing and they said that "It was deff age discrimation" and to file a complaint so thats what im doing... but its ok i have another interview tomm at 11am so im not totally bumbed about it. wow that was alot to type lol here are the pics of my rims and tires

in the near future its brakes they need to be done despratly, after that i think ill do the ball joints and try to get a cheap pair of control arms mine are flake rusting i fig after that i can do a t-bar crank and attempt the body lift again i guess i need a posi but its not a necessity after that i dont know excatly

just a small update, i got ahold of a grille guard for free, im gonna go to the junkyard soon with my bro and get another shift linkage so i can add another 2/1/2" so i can finally get that body lift on that i have collecting dust if anyone knows where i can get the side peaces to the grille guard that go over the headlights that would help, im painting the grille guard black to match my truck, it was really rusty and stuff ill take some pics soon cuz im gonna need some help as to hows the best way to attach it to my truck

an update im excited i called the transmission shop and talked to the guy and he said no prob at all and cuz i was a customer he would do it for free so with any luck mon or tues i should be slightly lifted i still wanna do tbar and longer shackels but i wanna get new ball joints 1st

all in all it was a pretty easy job took me a while but its working fine, the steering hangs up when it hits a certain point but beyond that its fine i fig its the rag joint adjusting to the new angle this is the 2" performance accessories kit the only thing that hung me up was extending the shifter linkage witch i had the transmission shop do.

Yeah cities are not the greatest, but they are cheap. I ams till planning on moving to Meriden. My budy bought a house there and I will be moving in with him.

Yup that's where I will be. I will be living around the block from the part of the Chaimberlin Heights Projects that they closed down. It's right over near the mall. It shoud be fun. The house my budy bought has a gated driveway and fenced front yard, a new alarm system, he has a huge Pitbull and I have a 12 gauge so I think we will be fine.

yea so an update cuz i havent been on in a while i finally am a member of the 100k mile club although its like 1008xx now but over memorial day weekend i found out that my ONE OF A KIND headlights has a big crack in the glass im gonna keep lookin for replacements with a halo kit but i doubt ill find one so for now im geting another pair that is actually a projector like the HIDs have id post a link but im on my cell phone right now but i went to the junk yard and found a complete grizzly brushguard that was on a 1st gen 2 door it bolts to the bumper but its all there so after unbolting it i brought it to the guy and he said i could have it for 45 bucks :-D i looked it up and providing i can find one it sells for 599.99 so i deff got a deal and to keep my new headlights from getting damaged im gonna put 'expanding metal' over the headlight part ill take pics asap

yea so an update i went to mass over memorial day and at some point my headlight cracked and the other day i noticed that moisture got into it and the bulb burst so theres shattered pices of glass in my passenger side headlight :) i got paid yesterday and bought a pair of new headlights heres a pic

GRRR damm edit button i also have been working on my brushguard but im still lookin for expanded metal to cover the part that goes over the headlights so it will look like this it doesnt look like it will obscure the light too much and shiuld offer some decent protection

those lights look really nice but are not bright at all.. i bought 130 watt bulbs and the stock lights were still brighter, for style there awsome, for that truck i would keep them and throw some off road lights on it also

yea i had a feeling they weren't that bright, i have my 2 roof lights witch work pretty good, the brushguard i picked up has enough room to mount 4 lights on it so im gonna do that, and im gonna get a safari roof rack eventually and i want to put 6 lights across the top so for now my 2 roof lights work fairly well

well i got bored and me and 2 friends went 4wheeling in meriden CT the truck performed exceptionally well, the ground was wet and i went right up a 45deg rock face without a running start, i must say that these are some of the best tires ive ever used, heres some pics it was dark so i couldnt get any of me on the trails, ill have to go in the daytime next time

you know when you drive down 71 toward newbritain, well comming from meriden go down 71 you will pass the "east Berlin fire dept" on the left "cops like to sit in the parkinglot" keep going down the road, it will begin to curve to the left and go up hill there will be a 4way intersection and on the left corner of this inter section is like a vegitable stand, the guy also does cut your own xmas trees when the time comes, at that inter section take a right go down the road till you see an entrance to a neighborhood with all thos rich type homes, the entrance has 2 curved stone walls with a road in the middle, its on the right side of the road turn in there and take your first right, go all the way down, you will see jersey barriers, look to the right side of the right of the barriers you wil see what looks like a quad trail, you can get threw it in 2wd but i will warn you its very tight, drive on this trail and you will that it splits into 2 trails they go around a big tree then come together again after that you want to bear left, "you can go straight also it just comes out farther down the line" but thats it just explore its got a little of everything mudholes, rockfaces, wooded trails, and more, if you turn down this one trail "on the left theres a big rock in the opening" its low so you can traverse it with no prob but someone rolled a jeep cherokee out there, its stripped but the chrome dor handles are still there lol, hope you can understand these directions if you want i can put it on a map and scan it in for you

Yeah I eally don't understand the directions... But than again I don't have a 4x4 any more so I really have no need to go there. I was just really curious. as for my my old blazer the guy that baught it has done nothing with it is hs sat his driveway since he bought it. I am just waiting to see another for sale sign on it some day when i drive by it
