ok i got a 94 exteded cab sonoma and i have headers on and a magnaflow but some stupid bitch rearended me and i need a new exahst system except the headers and i want a deep tone like a 300z or something like that

I personally do not like the Flowmasters on anything other than a V8.
I think they are too loud for most street cars and make the car seem kinda ricey because you have too much noise, too little performance. yes, except for the SYTY's ALL of our S-10's do not have much performance unless hevily modified.

I am very happy with the sound and performance of my Edelbrock muffler. First of all it is stainless steel so it will outlast the Flowmaster easily yet it costs about the same. It also flows better than the Flows without being sooooo loud. They do have a really deep rumble sound that sets off alarms all the time even when I start the truck yet cruise with a deep tone that is not annoying. THey are great man.

Now, you willnot make your truck sound like a 350Z or a 300ZX because the engines are completely different. The 4.3 still sounds deeper than the V6 nissans though.

if i could do it again i think i would go with a flowmaster hushpower muffler, same power with less noise equals less cops harrisment from the local law enforcement

^^ i agree...in fact i'm thinking when i get headers...i'll get something else other than flows 40s...i like the sound...but i want something more agressive... :D

i have super 40s with 2 1/2 piping and i would never choose anything over mine i get asked all the time if i swaped to a v8...like the last race i was in i smashed on this hatch and when we got done he was liek well if he didnt swap to a v8 i woulda takin him :) big smile on my face when i said naw man its the 4.3 v6 4x4 nice try though

For my next exhaust system, I am going to punch the cat and use 2 1/2" pipe with dual tailpipes out the back sans any muffler. I want to hear my system! They all get so quiet when tailpipes are added to any muffler but I don't want all the moisture and fumes underneath without tailpipes. Anybody else ever done this and how did it sound. I have the 4.3 V6. :)
