when I bought my tires the only way they came is with white letters. I had them mounted with the letters in. Is there a good way of masking those letters?

i think the best efforts have already been done, putting them to the inside, you sure don't want to paint over or put anything on the tire. maybe use a black grease pencil...or the obvious get new tires...

I used a black magic marker one time, it looked ok. I think I've seen black markers made especially for this, kinda like the white markers for making white letter tires. Or, like JROD said, just leave them turned in.

there bridgestone dueller revo a/t tires that i got from the tirerack online. my tires don't fill the wheel wells like a lot of your guys tires do. right now the rear ones are off the truck. i'll probably just hit em with a magic marker.

If you want to feel racecar, you should try raised gold letters on the Goodyear Eagle #1 NASCAR series, unfortunately, I think they stopped making them:
