I've been debating whether I should run 3/8 valves with 1/2 lines or 1/2 inch valves for fills and 3/8 valves for dumps with 1/2inch lines. I've already bought four 3/8 Smc Valves and I plan on buying four more I just don't know which size to get. Which would be the better set up? So does running 1/2 valves to 3/8 valves have that much of a difference if I have the same size line? I'm thinking it doesn't matter because it depends on the pressure and 3/8 valves are cheaper. WHat YA THink? :D

do you want to go faster up or down? bigger makes it go faster if you have enough pressure to make it do that.

I want it to go fast up and slow down, but does the valve size for the fill going to make that much of a difference?

Well I've decided that I'm going to run 8-3/8 valves and 1/2 inch line. I think that this setup is going to take care of what I want to do with the truck.

3/8-inch holes have a cross section area of about 0.11 in^2. 1/2-inch holes have a cross section area of 0.19 in^2. I'm guessing 1/2-inch valves flow about twice as much volume as 3/8-inch valves. Therefore, your fill and dump will be about twice as fast with 1/2-inch valves as with 3/8-inch valves if there are no other small restrictions in your system.

Depending on the pressure your gonna use the 1/2" valves will be alot faster. I've seen setup's using 8 1/2" valves and being able to get the entire truck off the ground. So i'd suggest using the 1/2" valves for lift and the 3/8" for dumps

thats what im running on my truck is 1/2 fills and 3/8 dumps...but im runnin 5/8 line to the front because of the distance it has to travel...i like tha speed of it too

i've just finished doing my rear air bags. Running all 3/8" lines so its not lightning fast but it gets the job done pretty darn good. I still need to upgrade to a link set up. i'm using my belltech 3" drop leafs, but i mono'd them and 3" blocks. Can't quite drag though. the drive shaft wants to hit the gas tank cross member. I'm sitting like 1/2" off the ground with the air all the way out. So i think i'll add some drag blocks for now!!!
