Hi, I was wondering what I would have to do in my current situation:

2000 GMC Sonoma 2.2li STD cab

Currently, I have 2" spindles, and 1.5" coils on the front (irrelevant), and Zq8 leaves/3" blocks on the rear.

I was wondering if I installed the 3" drop leaves, how much I would need to shave the blocks?

- With 1.5" machined blocks, would I have the same ride height that I have now?
- Would they need to be machined in any fashion(angled)?(keep in mind I have a std cab)

And lastly...Is the install hard? Seems very straightforward.
Thanks for info

It will be the same height, you dont need an angle.

install is not hard at all.

i may be wrong on this, but the only thing that might give you trouble is the driver's side hanger bolt. you may have to move the gas tank to get it out, or you could cut the bolt and put a new one in. like i said, i may be wrong, but i know this is true for the older full size chevys...........

I am auctioning off a set of belltech 1.5" blocks with no angle. There are almost 23 hours left on it on ebay. They were 2" blocks that I had professionally machined. I am including new hardware and ubolts with them. Run an ebay search for belltech 1.5 and you'll see them. I paid $15 to have them machined, so it's a great deal. They would be perfect for you. They are in real good shape. You shouldn't need any angle, but you'll have to install it all to see. Give 'em a look on ebay.

well I would, but i was thinking about machining mine to 2" 's to get a little bit lower. Anyhow, Why are you getting rid of yours?

I went to a 2"angled block and took out my 4 degree shims. This dropped me about another .25" or so. I am selling them to make back some of the $ I put into the new blocks. They're in great shape, but I just don't need them anymore. I decided I'd let someone else enjoy them. :)
