has anyone here had a s10 that was a 4x4 and has removed it to make it 2wheel drive...if so any advice on doing it

I would probably just be easier to find a 2wd platform with a really beat body and engine for really cheap. And then just swap your body and engine over to it. I never did it my self, so I might be wrong. Just my 2 cents…

if u sold your 4x4 youd prolly get more than enough money to buy a 2wd...but if thats not what your looking to do, try what steve suggested

I did it before for a local kid.
Took the transfer case out.
Took the shifter and vacuum controls out and plugged off the lines.
Took the front differentail out.
Took the half shafts out and undid the outside CV joint so we could use the outter piece for the bearing to keep it tight and dirt free.

Myself I just left mine alone and lowered the truck and most swore it was a 2 wheel until they saw the manual 4x4 shifter on the floor.

Its not worth the stress unless you have thousands invested in custom pieces for your truck. Sell the 4x4 and buy a 2 wheeler that may already have some of the modifications you want done to it.

thats what i did . i used a 2wd frame and suspension to make the swap . it was'nt too difficult ,and ther were not any special modifications to do everything bolted up as the 4x4 frame did. and you don't to spend any money to get someone to do it if you do it your self.
