Does it work, i bought a reg cab and I wish it was ext, would the cab fit with everything or would the bed be all over the place

Regular cab frames are shorter then extend cab frames so I don't think it will work having an extended cab body on normal cab frame.

You would have to cut and stretch your regular cab frame about a foot to put on an extended cab. Might be cheaper to start another truck project. :)
Long bed reg. cab may have the same frame as the ext. cab short bed. That's what i always thought. If you have a long bed, it may work.

or just get a bed from 4 door s10
That's a cool idea. Might look funny though.

Too many problems. Sell your truck and get an extended cab truck.

An extended cab with a short crewcab bed might look kinda neat! :) Time to get the tape measure out and do some figuring. :D
it does look cool! i know its not the same but i put a reg cab short box on a blazer frame. cut the box down ..welded it back together..http://members.shaw.ca/forty2and6/DSC04167.JPG http://members.shaw.ca/forty2and6/DSC04171.JPG http://members.shaw.ca/forty2and6/DSC05477.JPG

This is only an educated guess, but I'd be willing to bet that the xcab frame is different from a long bed due to body mounting locations. However, the short bed/standard cab would make a fun little street machine in 2wd!

I don't know how it would handle but the regular cab and cut bed on a blazer frame looks like a fun little truck! :D Keep us posted on pictures when your done with your project. :)
