hey ive got a dent in my drivers side door on my '94 s-10 ext cab. I need to know what sand paper to use and such materials. I got it pulled out to about 80% the guy said then do i just need to bondo the rest? I need to know what sand paper to sand the paint and prep then to put the bondo or whatever material is suggested and how to smooth it out after its bondo. I did bondo my front grille before and it came out good but dont remeber what i used. Also there is like a line from the middle of the window on the ext cab side window that just doesnt look that nice, i was wondering if i can fill that in or if its suppose to be there. It goes vertical from the under the middle of the ext cab window on the truck not the window.
Thanks
Matt

Me personally i used 60 or 80 grit to roughen it up a bit b4 bondo. I dont remember what they recommended but that is what I used. After bondo I used a 220 grit b4 primer and dont forget to get a tack cloth and whip area clear or some cleaner to get rid of any wax or polish residue. After primer i used a 400 grit then a 600 grit. Once smooth to how you like it put base coat on. Some people I know use a 1000 or 1500 grit b4 base but I cant really tell the difference. Then spray a couple coats of clear and let dry. After everything is completely dry wet sand with at least a 2000 grit and DONT PRESS TOO HARD cause you might cut through the clear and hit the base. Once you have done all of this get some rubbing compound and buff on and off to get rid of wetsanding marks. After this you can go with many different things but I like to use hand glaze, because it is just better and it gives your truck that wet car look w/o being wet. If I left out anything someone let me know.
Hope this helps some.

as long as the guy does it right and it comes out smooth i'd pay the $20. cause i hate sanding .
$20 is pretty cheap. You must know the guy.
